Skyview Temple - INFO:

The Skyview Temple is the first dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, located deep within the lush and mysterious Deep Woods in Faron. This first dungeon introduces players to classic Zelda puzzle-solving mechanics, strategic combat, and essential item-based exploration bu using the dungeon specific item. The flying Beetle in this case.

In the first section of the temple, Link must raise the water level to progress by locating and hitting two hidden switches. These switches must be activated to flood the central chamber, unlocking new areas to explore.

As you explore the temple, you’ll encounter various enemies, including Skulltulas, large spiders that block your path. You can flip them onto their backs by swiping your sword upward, exposing their weak spots for a finishing blow. You’ll also face Deku Babas, Keese, and Bokoblins.

Unique to this dungeon are the Eye Guardians that block doors. To defeat them, Link must spin his sword in circles, disorienting their gaze and opening the way forward. You’ll also battle the Staldra, a hydra-like serpent with three heads. The only way to defeat it is to strike all three heads at once, requiring precise sword movement and timing.

One of the highlights of the Skyview Temple is Link’s first major mini-boss: the Stalfos, a sword-wielding skeletal warrior that guards a key item. Defeating the Stalfos rewards Link with the Beetle, a flying tool that lets you hit distant switches, collect unreachable items, and even grab bombs mid-air.

Don’t miss the heartpiece in this dungeon. Release it by sending the Beetle hig up towards the central crypt.

Farore's Silent Realm Map - Zelda: Skyward Sword
Farore's Silent Realm - INFO

Farore’s Silent Realm, often called the Faron Woods Silent Realm, is a challenging trial in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Upon entering, Fi grants you the Spirit Vessel, which must be filled with 15 Tears of Farore scattered throughout the forest.

This trial tests your stealth, timing, and perseverance. As soon as you leave the circle, the Guardians begin their relentless pursuit, ready to strike if they catch up tp you. One hit will force you to start the trial over. However, collecting a Tear of Farore temporarily pacifies them for 90 seconds, giving you precious time to gather the remaining tears.

In addition to the Tears of Farore, Light Fruits are scattered across the realm. These useful items reveal the location of uncollected tears by sending beams of light into the sky, helping you navigate the forest.

Be wary of Watchers, creatures carrying lanterns. If their lanterns catch you in their light, the Guardians will awaken immediately. You’ll also need to avoid ponds of Waking Water. Stepping into these pools will alert the Guardians and trigger an immediate chase.

During your journey, be sure to collect Dusk Relics, valuable crafting materials similar to Amber Relics. These relics spawn in specific locations, marked in purple on the map, while the Tears of Farore are marked in green.

If the trial takes several attempts, don’t get discouraged. Your in-game map will record the locations of every tear you’ve already found, even from previous attempts, and help you track which ones remain. With the combined power of the Light Fruits and the map, you’ll be able to conquer the Silent Realm.

Once all 15 Tears of Farore are collected, return to the starting circle to receive your reward—the Water Dragon’s Scale. This prized item grants you the ability to swim underwater, opening up new areas for exploration.

ZELDA: Skyward Sword - Silent Realms info

In Zelda: Skyward Sword, players will encounter four distinct Silent Realms, each offering its own unique challenges and rewards. Complet Farore’s Silent Realm to get the Water Dragon Scale. Neyru’s Silent Realm to get the Clawshot. Din’s Silent Realm to get the Fireshield Earrings. The Goddess’s Silent Realm in skyloft to get the Stone of Trials.

To get access to the Silent Realms you need the Harp, and learn the corresponding melodies at The Songs of Isle in the Thunder Head. Plying the harp at the right places, shown by butterflies hovering at the spot, will open a portal to the Silent Realm.

These Silent Realms are crucial for advancing through the game and are also prime locations for farming Dusk Relics. A way to farm the dusk relics is to get caught by a guardian when you grabbed a few and play the trial again. You will keep the relics you gathered, so as long as you don’t finish the trial, you can farm as many Dusk Relics you need.
